U.F.O. Education is a television of a special format which has been presented to the Albanian public with a special mission.U.F.O.Education is the only channel in albania that aims to inform the public with educational and cultural programmes.It brings something new compared with other medias in Albania,giving this enormous space a special and dynamic dimension.U.F.O. Education aims to become the main channel to transmit knowledge and culture in Albania and in all other Albanian speaking regions.

U.F.O. Education has an ambitious and difficult mission to fulfill,but thanks to the close collaboration with U.F.O. University as one of the main sources of knowledge,academic debate,intelectual potential,the aim and mission of this channel becomes more than achievable.

Important part of the programmes in U.F.O. Education,plays the live transmision of lectures in auditoriums,fulfilling this way one of its main goals;that of education.

However in order to have a broader spread in the field of education,U.F.O Education is open to collaborate with the Albanian Ministry of Education and Science,as one of the higher representatives of education in Albania.

The U.F.O. Education Format

The programmes of this channel respond to the main mission and objective of this television;that is education and culture.To achieve this aim the main programmes of this channel are:

“U.F.O. Forum”-Treating different social and cultural problems through debating in the studio with specialists and students.Students form the auditorium,being at the same time an active part of the debate and discussion in the studio.

“Time to wake up”-A programme that has started to change its format from day to day to offer the viewers not only the daily information,which comes through the massmedia,but also through special programmes and studio guests,representatives from the field of education.The main objective of the information in this programme is and is going to be EDUCATION.At the same time,through phone communication with viewers,educational problems are raised,viewing education as one of the pillars of ‘this always in progress society’.

“U.F.O. Lobbing”-The presentation of some of the most debated yet not popular groups in Albania,such as the interest groups.What is important is the discussion of different problems that these groups raise for discussion,as well as the face-to-face debate with representatives of important state institutions to bring problems which sometimes hide without finding the right representation,to the public.

“Learning at U.F.O.”-The live transmision of lectures in auditoriums,fulfilling this way adequately one of the main aims of this channel;that of education.

“Towards knowledge”-This programme aims to bring for the first time an academic debate in different fields of knowledge,to transmit to the public opinions of the academic world on social,political,economic,historical and cultural problems.The debate is brought through discussions of students and academics of different disciplines.

“Plus Minus”-A series of programmes with U.F.O. students,going on for 12 weeks,every Saturday evening.The aim of this very special programme is to trigger debate on problems that concern the Albanian youth today.The three main dimensions of this programme are:the young facing problems(students,professors,special guests in the studio),politicians facing the young and lastly civil society facing the young.
